Welcome to the Angus Group's website!

We are a group with about 40 riders from the surrounding area who use the purpose-built centre on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The group is run by volunteers, with the help of 2 professionals - new helpers are always welcome!

Joanne’s show was a great success and raised over £800 for the centre.  Several of our riders competed and did really well against all comers!

Fund-raising:

After all Joanne’s hard work getting everyone to vote, we are delighted that we have received a grant of £6000 from RBS, which is the maximum amount possible. The money will buy some new show-jumping equipment, and also help to pay for Banjo and Cleo.

Thanks to everyone who voted and who got everyone else to vote as well!

The coffee morning on Saturday 25th November did really well, with a good turnout, and raised £1887, which with the raffle makes a grand total of £2429 – amazing!

Also, we received a cheque for £1500 to sponsor Hamish for next year from the Jockey Jan fund, which is an enormous help.  It was presented to us on Saturday morning.  Another grant came from the Angus Community Grants scheme and will pay for some new lightweight poles and stands to be used for games.

Nexen Petroleum has also been very generous this year, and  we have bought a snow-plough to keep the paths and yard clear this winter.  This will make Joanne’s life a lot easier if we have a winter like the last one.
